Promote vs. Announce

I see you. You get a great idea, you plan it all out, toss it out to the world and your results = low attendance. You think 'My idea must not have been as great as I thought it was.' or 'People just are not ready to be in-person yet.' or 'People are so sick of zoom.' or 'The name must be off.' or 'Maybe my landing pages needs tweaking.' or 'The wording is just not right.'
